very well worked out composition, Jan! Nothing is too much or too few here. The details are great, as are the colors, and as is the whole composition.

A very nice example of modern photography using an old object.

This one REALLY appeals to me....

Wonderful sunject matter, composition and tonality. Love the textures and the different screws in the hinge. It's all good! :) Each element fits together so well here in this excellent presentation.

Thank you so much for your kind comments, Khaled. This weekend I will look at the orginal PSD file and see if I have room left for a test of shifting the cropping to see how the change would look. I think your suggestion is a good one.
Two additional comments: I truely appreciate your memorial posting for our departed friend, Rashed. That was very thoughtful and kind.
Also to say that I admire your glass abstracts and look forward to viewing them.

I like abstract shots alot Jan and this one the lines and the distribution of the blue and white strips are both wonderful.
May be one thing is that I would have shifted the camera a little bit to the left side so as not to centralize the hinge and getting more of the transverse and diagonal white strips (IMHO), but that doesn't change the fact that I don't like it this way too 7/7

A good abstract still life Jan with great detail and texture....Sometimes we have to say 'what the heck' prior to posting and mustn't lose sight of the fact that one man's meat is another man's poison. I love the simplistic approach to this one.....well done to you Jan. Best wishes....Ray
