This is very good Cathy, what attracts me much about this photo is the eye contact to the viewer, it's very natural even the distance, just like a child who sneaks from your back and wanting to show you something... and all at once that object is very near you. That is what I see here and it's a great capture, natural light and the focus is really good.. not to forget the hands and fingers plus the scar on his face... really good unforgetable details.

Thankyou for your lovely comments Ian, and thankyou for asking about the copyright symbol.
When I first joined UF & saw others using it, I questioned everyone I knew, but couldn't find it for weeks. I stumbled upon it. In Windows, Insert, Symbol, Special Characters. Alternatively you can get to it in Windows using Alt+Ctrl+C. I then moved it into Photoshop and made a copy that I have used again.

I have a question for you. I want to add my name to my prints similar to your method, but I cannot seem to find the Copright Symbol on my keypad, where is it? Also do you make your own little template with the text already set up and just paste it in, or do you have to create it from scratch each time?

This is an awesome image! I love the 'offering' of clay, and the brilliant expression you've captured.
Very well composed, and so well balanced with color! The angled back wall color is so great, and adds a wonderful young chaos to the overall feeling in the image.

The eyes and scratch on his face make the picture on their own. I would have rather seen the sculpture down just a touch so that his mouth and chin were in the shot too. On the other hand, this has a more candid appearance.

This photograph has so many intriguing aspects...The angle is perfect for showing off his eyes and his masterpiece...I love the clay that is smeared all over his hands, it has great texture...and seeing the scratch, was it a violent time with the clay? jk....Such a perfect composition and I can clearly see how you won the award...This photo is very deserving of it!! great capture!!!!

What a great capture, love the way the hands and subject matter are posed here. He does look like a handful, too (no pun intended). From that look on his face and the scratch on his cheek, I bet he gives somebody a run for their money. You've captured the personality of an active child here.

Wow, this portrait shot is very dramatic. A kid showing you his clay shouldn't hold a lot of emotion, but this one is just so intense - as Phil commented. The eyes are piercing and the scar on his right cheek adds to the impact. Congrats on the award.
