About I wanted to show the boatman alone in the mighty Brahmaputra river,I have kept the boat in the lower right corner in order to balance the hill oh the top left corner. The sunset is near the centre to give it a balanced picture feel.

Hi pankaj da!
Glad to get u back on Usefilm..!
Well i agree 100 % on ur comment!
But u see.. this was one of the first few pics that I had uploaded on usefilm.. in fact this was from the first role of my SLR...!
So i had no or less clue about the cut-sun and the tilted horizon...!
Still improving skills!!

hEY HOW COME THE SUN GOT HALVED IN THIS ONE, A BIG TECHNICAL FLAW, IN AN OTHERWISE INTERESTING LANDSCAPE. aND HOW COME YOUR PICTURES ARE COMING DULL, ARE YOU GETTING THEM PRINTED AT A NORMAL LAB AND SCANNING THEM, tHE WAY AROUND COULD BE HAVE SELECTIVE PICTURES SCANNED AT A PROFESSIONAL PHOTO LAB.

Beautiful. I love these sunset shots, though I see you posted this nearly two years ago...

Vrey good photo. The sun is still high in the sky. So I am guessing, you underexposed some to get the mood.

Everything is good except:
1. u tilted the horizon.
2. u cut away the sun in half.
3. the scan is really poor.

(U can have a look at my pic titled "Gi'me hope Joanna" in which I also tried to evoke similar emotions). Cheers

You have a nicely balanced shot as you said, the boatman is well composed. Great exposure too!!. Looks like the scan isn't great, would love to see what the original is like.
