.....not sure about this shot but kept coming back to it, the bird does it for me, a photographic coincedence.....early morning, stuff to be done, on a mission, not a moment to lose, must fly.....a moment in time and a bird in an 'urry, whatever, I quite liked the image so here goes....!!
.....backlight, dark foreground, makes for a silhouette effect, did expose for the tree (I think....what a memory, or is it just bs!) which did the trick, exquisite knowledge of the zone system and incredile perception of tactual or proprioceptive sensation, sometimes known as 'gut feeling' (don't laugh, this is serious)..........need I say more! don't answer that but have fun with the camera, cheers Rina, thank you for your comment. david.
I keep looking at the dark area and wondering how the heck you worked that magic. If the cam was in my hands, I'd have likely blown out that entire area and the bird would have looked like a butchered boomerang. Ya got my vote on this one mate.
....that's odd, when I look at it and consider the effect of lightening it then I can see that the overall impact would be to give more emphasis to the silhouette and my bird....yep, you could be right Roger, may be beyond my ps skills but!! cheers, david.
