The long and winding road..
As Laura said, the mist helps to create a sense of mystery...I tried something similar with a picture of a river in the north of Thailand but the haze spoilt rather than improved the landscape. Yours is much, much better!

I like this image and its great DOF, composition and specially the fog on the back ground is very atractive and so pleasant to view.
