Many thanks Andre- I'm not always for sharp images either- too hard for me to get! But can't resist teasing a horse!

Hi Mary,
I'm not one for liking extremely sharp images, but I have to admit, it sure works well in this instance! Great reflection in the eye too.

Thanks for looking and writing Chitra. Glad you liked the horse eye. Never thought of angling it like that- I will try that now. Thanks.

Chitra T   {K:797} 6/11/2006
Mary, I like your take on horses. I like this one too. Slightly angling your camera so his eyes were a little more in-line with the right bottom corner would've made the composition a little more dramatic.
Thanks for your comments on my photos.
I will be back to see more of your horses.

Hi dear Mary.. Well I totally disagree with you in this matter for two reasons:

1- Taking good pictures isn't that difficult you just need to love taking photos and lookin at them, then every thing will become easy. ( I'm sure you love taking photos or you wouldn't have been here!!!!)

2- Your a good photographer BEALIVE ME.. and I like most of your work if not I wouldn't have cheked your shots all the time, and I bealive you've got some great artistic work in your portfolio.

My best regards,
aLi

Klaas   Baas Klaas  Baas   {K:15111} 5/6/2006
I'm glad you like it, it only takes a few minutes so that's no problem at all. If you wanna have another one framed, send it with your wishes and I'm framing it, it's really not a problem. The program does al the work, I'm only telling it what to do.
It's great to hear you've printed it and put it on your wall, but is the quality good enough, I had to made it smaller before posting.
All the best,

Klaas

"Like it"- I love it!!! It certainly is the frame that grabbed me having a bit of the picture in. But to be honest Klaas, even if I hated the frame, I'd appreciate it just as much- you being so thoughtful restores my faith in humanity!! A wonderful start to my day. And my name in it- I feel famous! I am printing it and putting it on the wall immediately! Thanks so much Klaas.

Thanks Ray- I hit lucky with this one that he wasn't moving for a while. Now there is a good idea- portrait in eye- I will look into inventing that. Oh you're right, ain't it weird thinking of different angled visions!! I'm going dizzy already! Thanks Ray- enjoy the sun while it is there!

Fabulous close up Mary, the details are just stunning as are the textures. I can make out the landscape in the reflection and the clouds in the sky, but of the photographer no clear sign of at all. I think, with thought, you could take a great self portrait in this horse's eye....think about it. Over the years, on and off, I have driven myself mad as to what kind of details some animals/creatures see with the placement of their eyes. If I had an eye on either side of my head how on earth could I type all this rubbish; one eye would give me a view out the window the other could look at television but my computer screen would have disappeared:):):) My very best wishes to you sweet Mary, as always.......Ray

Just a sensational shot--by any standard. The focus is spot on and the dof is excellent. I compliment you also on the processing, especially the sharpening that renders the reflection and the hairs brilliantly. Well done. . .

Wow, great original composition. The colours in the refelction add the perfect element to the otherwise monochromatic photograph. One thing, and I don't understand why, that keeps my eye is the horses eyelash. It just seems to add that little touch to the photograph. Well done.
