Your welcome and I see what you mean by the capture needing to be brightend. I just started the RAW stuff. I'm not sure, but the original CD that came with your camera should convert the file from RAW to jpeg? Mine is called Canon Veiwer.
Marty, I am using a large file size and cropping down from that. I probably did not crop down enough. The original image seemed to me to be too dark so I tried to brighten it up a bit so maybe I went to far! My iso setting was 200,1/100 at f-18. I am not familiar with shooting with raw images and my current software does not support this anyway. I am adding the original photo also so you can take a look.
Hotel California by the "Eagles". Do I win a prize? Wonderful job, but I would crop it down a bit. That is why I shoot the largest file size I can. That way I can crop away and still keep a good image resolution.
I just started to shoot RAW. Damn they are some big files and a pain in the butt to convert, but it's worth it. Feel free to email me to get your Pixels up from what you’re shooting now.
I hope you don't mind, but you know me by now... LMAO ...
Below is your image cropped to direct the eye on the driver. Brightness was reduced to -22 and the contrast was increased to +6 to get a better look at the tires, as I thought they were a little blown out, even after darkening.
My thought would be increase your f/stop and slow the shutter speed. Although I don't know what your ISO setting is? If it's ISO 100 I would do the above, but if it's higher, drop the ISO to 100... Too Much Light... That's why my adjustments were made...
Well done indeed my friend and keep up the Great work,
