Sorry to not comment recently Roger, I have been too dang busy with work. I like this image and I am still trying to "be content with less than the whole thing". In this case I would add, Don't be afraid to fight gravity. Not every thing has to stand straight. Cheers. John B

I see what you mean Roger, colourful and you where looking up. I like your subject here....all the lines, we can see the lines as a kind of network too. Gorgeous red/white, we don´t have so colourful dito here - they are grey in this country. Beautiful looking up Roger and a big thanks for your NICE dedication!!!!!!!

Enjoy your weekend,
Jeanette

WOW!!! This looks great! So sharp and colourful on the blue sky!!! I was contemplating some such pylons today....but I finally went for the flowers! No joke, Roger, I like it!
Best regards,
Gabriela

Thanks for explaining what was behind your comment. It does look as if I missed the point. But I must say I remember seeing a photo of the Dunedin railway station and thought it looked quite gaudy! (but that was partly the beautiful flower beds in front of it). This pylon is an special super-duper "crossroads" type, which supports two main distribution lines, N-S and W-E, which cross near my house. It is the only such brightly coloured pylon I have ever seen in Japan!

A great dedication Roger and a wonderful observation of Jeanette's style....blue sky, look up and compose the crop within the camera. Well done to you for this garish techno dodabthingy whatever the h--l that is:):):) I like this style but so rarely come close to doing something with it myself..All the best my friend...Ray

I live in a city of dour presbytarian foundations. Not a burden Tokyos' town planners have to be concerned about.

Oh then I am not careful enough in my comments Roger. It is quite ostentatious. Anything here in new zealand like this would be grey. Certainly in my city Dunedin brightly coloured things get letters of complaint in the papers. The way this is painted it could be plastic. Very japanese do you think? I haven't seen the like.
It is another way of seeing. I am reminded of the japanese Rugby uniform with the red and white hooped jerseys.
A good photo of it...

Hmmmm. I gather--not just from this comment but from a brief visit to your portfolio--that garish techno-primaries are not exactly your thing. [g] That makes me appreciate your comment all the more. Thanks!
