One of the first pictures I took with my camera. Taken while on vacation, Ripley's Aquarium, Gatlinburg, TN, USA. Used "auto" settings on camera. I was really surprised that it came out so well, since previous attempts with a point & shoot came out so terrible. Makes me realize I should have bought a SLR camera ages ago.
Thank you all for your comments. John - that's a great compliment, you flater me ;) Chris - I wish I had other aquarium photos to share, the others were very blurry. I feel very lucky to have this one!
Dawn - I tried a trick I read in a photo. book - hold the camera right against the glass. I guess it cuts out some of the blur from the aquarium glass. Seemed to work in this case. My others (with faster swimming fish) were not this clear. Great that we use the same camera, I can't wait to look through your portfolio, I'm off to do that now! Sorry for the delay replying to your question.
Hi Lori, Good work. Looks like we are using the same type camera. How did you get such a sharp image through the glass? That's a problem I've been having at the aquarium. Your photo is great! :)
