I probably stopped and studied this photo longer than any lately. I find it very compelling, strong drama playing out. I pretty much formed my opinion before looking at comments. I find the structure adds to the scene, not at all intrusive. It adds an anchor point and perspective, as well as to the unfoldind drama by placing man in the path of nature's power. Beautiful colors and lighting.

Great shot, Jason! The dark ominous sky is amazing and the luminous green seas seem quite serene. Quite the contrast in "moods" between the top and bottom. Hope you were inside and not exposed to the advancing storm! Cheers, Gary

Hello Jason. I am always fooled by your last name. Sounds really Dutch :-)
About the photo: you captured a right moment here. Perfect light and sky. And perfect light gives perfect colours. I personally would have avoided the building on the left, but I am a purist, like to keep photos as simple as possible.

Hi Jason. I think you have caught the moment well. The (I believe) lifeguard station and walkway adds to it as well. Well taken. John

Hi Jason, Hope you didn't get to wet! I find the foreground LH corner slightly competing for attention. Under the circumstances you gotta take oppotunities as they arise - nice dramatic shoot though. CU Glenn
