You're very kind, Gabriela. However, it may not be so impressive to know that this shot was mostly as result of chance. I don't think I even noticed the reflections when I took this. I took around 10 or 15 shots of this pond with hundreds of these bugs running around. I later saw this and then cropped it so just these two were showing. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to comment.
As I understand so very little about the technique of photography (long live the digital!!!), I am baffled at how you managed this amazing shot. I took a long look at it, the diagonal from corner to corner of light invading shade and the reflections in each patch of tension being just the inverse of the other.....absolutely amazing!My sincere admiration! Really good work Jim, to spot it, and capture them to get this effect. I love seeing surface tension in action, and it's just so good how the line of 'symmetry' goes from corner to corner and the reflections in each 'dent' are the opposite colour to the surrounding water. Well done!
