Caitlin can pose her ASS off, and this shoot was such a joy to light. I don't know why, but I love creating Chiaroscuro. When she walked onto set, she had an underwire bra on, and it took me .00045 sec to ask her if she would shoot without it.
I'm so thrilled I did.

I think you're right about her shoulder, it does fade into the BG.
As for the gradient, Photoshop CS5 now makes it EASY to create clean selections, even with hair and fine details. So, I made a new layer with a selection mask on her, and then replaced the background with this gradient (the pink was picked from her bikini).
