Hi Chris,

Well I can't believe you've bought a second D70, thats just outragous ;-) Must admit I'd like a 20D to sit alongside my 10D, maybe someday.

I do like this image, very warm colours as usual. I'd maybe crop just a little off the bottom, iust to lose some of the heavyness. Apart from that it a good piece of work.

Happy Easter

Keith

Hi Roger,

I just got myself a new phone with a camera in it. I'll have to give it a try. Can't say I've ever thought about taking people on the tube !

I like these images for the simple reason that the over-indulgence on the colour front makes me look much more closely at the composition and structure of the image. This image is excellent on both of these components. Tremendous work as usual.

Tremendous capture. I like the way you have just managed to get the fiddler, 1/2 a second later and the other guy would have ruined the effect.

I like the tones and the textures, but I'm not to keen on the viewpoint. I think a lower angle might help get something different here.

Nice sculptures. I do find these Japanese images strange sometimes, the background doesn't really offer anything to set the foreground off against does it. The only other thing you could do is try and use a shallow dof in order to blur it a bit.

Very strong, I'm not usually keen on 'look straight ahead' portraites, but this one fits very well indeed.

Hi Kevin,

trying something new eh ;-) Go for it.

I think Danny has noticed something about the edges of the oranges, I think it could well be over-sharpenned just a tad. Nock it down slightly and see if that helps

Tremendous composition and graphic detail. The texturs add a lot too.

Hi Roger, I wonder what the fished version was like ;-)

As Chris says this is all about the textures, compositionally it struggles a little, but the textures are superb. I remember another waterwheel you showed us, are there a number of these around you ?

more than a bit of Spracklen pixie dust sprinkled on this ;-)

I like it though. The gull maybe needs toning with the landscape.

Good work

Spring os almost sprung Roger, well it can't be far away. The birds are looking for nest sites, the hawthorns are in bloom and theres snow on the ground - must be spring in blighty ;-)

You know - those white trees remind me of one of Ansel Adams images 'Aspen'. There could be some nice themed images to be had at this spot. Definitely worth a trip back.
