It hit me after I clicked on your image that I was very taken with your exposure.

Tripod, cable release, mirror lock-up. Don't leave home without them!

Love the Phlox. Love the complete depth of focus. Love the Bokeh.

My eye is drawn to the small, odd rays of light in the middle. To me they are THE picture. Next is the narrow swath of green, through the middle. The wild foreground and the top of the clouds are much less important. I initially thought that some application of the rule of thirds would help. A telephoto lens could isolate the rays. A panoramic crop of just the green and rays might be nice. Finally, the rays themselves are a bit blown out. By concentrating on them you'd more easily handle that.

Do you have one without the tree? You have nice tonal gradation that I would like to see explored more. Maybe punch up the contrast a little. And lose the white spots in the middle.

Looking at one of your today's images, I noticed you use hand held stacking. I had to look backwards at your macro flowers and came upon this. Wow! Everything you show is necessary. Nothing extraneous. Do you have one without the soft focus?

I like the way the flower's center feels comfortably nestled. And that background is perfect.

The stark contrast of the colored layered bands is powerful. The top 3 layers are positively complimentary. I feel the dominant black field is too much. It might be helped by cropping away some of the bottom to make the top of the middle blue field to be the top of the lower third. I am conflicted as to what to do about the detail in the black area, because I don't know what there is.

Interesting concept. Her eye draws you. I would like her face to be in focus so it stands away from the blurry white verticals.

Every time I log on and scroll through the newest images, I am hopeful that I will find something that really pleases me. This one knocks my socks off. It is sharp throughout. There is something to see in every area of light. The overall tonality is correct.

I'm sure that the clouds and the lighting caused you to take this picture. The foliage just happened to be there. Photoshop Elements has the cropping ability to exclude them from the final image. I think that would help.

This caught my eye, because of your name. It blew me away. Monty Python immediately came to mind, "And now for something completely different." Keep up the good work!

I regret the pages's innate background that doesn't let your photo shine better on its own. Maybe a border with such a high light image.

This fulfills the idea of an 'Unusual Vision', because I don't know what it is. Your camera has a minimum focus of 2 inches. So this shot is either closer than that or it was hand held. Either way it is out of focus.

Without seeing Paul's input, I was thinking a similar critique. I want to see how the in focus subject relates more to the out of focus weaver. Maybe even changing the point of view and cropping.

My initial thought is that she is a detached head. It may be from the vast light difference between the face and her clothes. I would like to see the clothes brighter and the face darker. Additionally, consider Rembrandt lighting. I like her Mona Lisa smile.

Fabulous view. Having this to look at is a rare treat. How you reduce it to a memorable image is the challenge. First image. I would crop out the closest foreground (the green bushes). Or move your viewpoint to exclude it. Next image. Look at cropping out ALL of the middle and concentrating on only the mountainous background.

The tonality of the shot is perfect except for the circle at the top. I wish that were not blown out.

Wonderful sharpness, marvelous color, striking contrast. I would straighten the horizon and include more of the sky. That is where my eyes want to go.
