The color. composition, and toning are all beautiful, and so is the dancer! This is an outstanding image. If the lines of the structure were tweeked slightly to align the vertical at the sides and horizontal at the bottom, I'd like it even better, since my eye is naturally drawn to those areas by the fact that they are skewed.

Wow -- Before I even saw your category, my first thought was that this belongs in the "Magic Light" project. It is really a gorgeous image. It is one of the prettiest dance shots I've seen. Congrats!

Thanks Sudeera. I grayed it down somewhat, but it was more yellowish from the sun to begin with -- no green. It is a tan or beige. I thought they were green too, but this one isn't!

I like the composition, and the red against the gray. It is a charming, personal greeting. The black matte is somewhat overpowering, as it draws my eye away from the image rather than into it. A frame is like make-up on a woman -- Even though it is designed to enhance her beauty, you want to notice her, not the make-up.

Incredibly dramatic sky. I love the composition with the swimmers at small scale at the far right. Close up there is more noise than the image needs. I think it would carry more nicely with a softer feel, since the darks and lights are so powerful. The image is only slightly off vertical, but with a horizon it nags. I agree that this is a spectacular image.

Beautiful capture. The detail in the droplets is magical. The dark background is very nice. I would enjoy seeing a little more detail of the reflection of the leaf and water so that the leaf doesn't look so cut out. And when I say "a little" I mean just a very little, because any more than that might take away the punch of the contrast between the leaf and the dark background. The composition is lovely.

Very nicely composed. This is a special portrait because it seems to have a story to tell. Is she looking out from where she lives, or simply playing around a broken window? In any event, she looks happy where she is, and that gives the viewer an element of surprise. One could interpret this as symbolic of the state of affairs this year. Well seen and well done. Antonia

Your wildlife pictures are excellent. I really enjoy pictures of animals, but my equipment isn't well-suited to that type of photography. If I lived in an area with more wildlife, I'd invest. This is a great site and I've just been busy doing other things and so haven't cultivated new friends. Probably that has happened to a lot of us who were here so much more frequently a few years ago. But there are likely new groups who know one another. It is nice to return now and then to post and say hello to my friends. Sometimes I'll make a comment or two on new posts. If I do post, I'll check in on you again. Take care my friend.

Wow, lovely bird and the colors are gorgeous -- nice "capture." I haven't been around much, and am only here for a minute, but I did check in on friend images and saw this. Nice to see you are still here and doing great.

You did good. I live here and know how hard it is to capture the blues and greens along the coast because the water always looks greenish brown and the hills are burnt. I just returned from Kauai and had a double-take because this comes off like the island's landscapes. Congratulations on capturing the beauty of our coastline! I love it. Where exactly IS this?

You've created a fabulous mood. Nice editing choices here. The blues are a treat and lovely to behold. The darkest tones add crunch. By that I mean I like the contrast.

Sweet Bee. Seems like a night for wildlife, as there happen to be a bunch on the front page. This is a lovely capture. The color is really vibrant and the details is exquisite. DOF is perfect.

Sweet shot. I love hummingbirds and this photo isolates the beauty of the bird nicely with the dark background so we can drink it in.
