Very Nice composition and overal a great shot. But I would work on it just a tad to bring out the real beauty in it. I'm attaching an example of what could be done. Hope you like it.

The day I was taking photos on that old caravanserai grounds it was almost overcast. But you are totally right a blue sky an some clouds in the background would add some more depth to the photograph.
I'm gonna go back to that location, probably, in this week. Who knows I might get lucky this time.

I'm glad you like'em too. I shot these series of photos near Taleghan and oddly enough that is the only place I've sighted this species of plant.

Thanks, Colin, for your comment. You are quite right. Looking at photos of the members of UF from different parts of the world gives us an idea of the kind of climate and ecology of that place. In this part of the world, Iran, however, aboundance and diversity of climates is evident. Looking at some of my photos you can get the idea about the ecology of area that surrounds Tehran, the capital city.
Having lived in the pacific South west for some time, I'm also familiar with diversity of ecology there.
