The Kuru wrote -any body seen my dad? -
yeah...i love this...to me she looks like she's thinking..."Hey! who's in there?!?" while looking into my lens.
and yes...most definately a daddy's girl. (i think she likes me more)...but shhh...don't tell my wife ;0)

Thanks for the thoughts.
Ned -- yeah, i know i've had some trouble focusing on the eyes. i've found that my lens that i'm using (very cheap) is kinda hard to focus. another thing...she likes to MOVE!!! she's very active. in this shot she's sitting on my wife's shoulders, sitting amongst the branches in our tree in the front yard. she's just over 6 months in this pic.
Tracey -- i was thinking about cropping this to a square...much like the square picture project. i agree that might look better.
thanks for all your comments. appreciate the a ton.
--Bryce

Hi Byrce, a georgeous little girl but you need to bring the photo in closer there is to much space around her we need to focus on her, try a close crop to the top of the head and close to the sides she will really stand out then, very cute child...Tracey

so cute!! what a lovely girl! how old is she now?
mmmmmmm how much you love your baby, Bryce? As much as you like her as much as you should cocentrate on her eyes .. focus on the eye! it's not even enough to focus on another part of the face!
I think you missed the eye here. the leaves in the left bottom corner of the image look sharper than her face, while they should be out of focus as they're further away from you.
God bless her Best wishes, ned

Thanks all for your compliments. i'm surprised that this image seems to be the fav of the images i've posted. my personal fav is the first one i posted..."Beware of Storm" I think the barricades add alot of color.
Let me know why you all think this is the best one? i blew both pics up to 10x15, and matted them. gave this one to my brother as a christmas gift (he's into photography as well) but i kept the other "Beware of Storm" for myself, hanging in my office at home.

Very nice, I live in Glendale and was hoping for shots with lighting. Not a drop of rain fell, and I was too tired to drive to the outlying areas, but nice shot of lightning.

i actually meant to have the barricades in the picture. i like the art...saying to not go forward, storms ahead. i think this would apply to life very much. how many times do we advance even when we know there are warning signs, only to get caught up in the storms ahead.
and, thanks very much for the compliment. i have several more great pics from this same storm. i've posted another. feel free to check it out.

Excellent capture, Bryce. Too bad the barricades are so prominent on the foreground. I guess we just have to do the best we can in the circumstances. The lightning strikes are among the best I've seen.
