Hi Marty,

Thanks for your support! I am also surprised by the lack of comments. The only thing I can figure is that there are not a lot of racing fans on this site.

Thanks again for your comments!!

Hi Carlen,
You are correct it is difficult to get a clear capture at those speeds and also show a sense of motion. I included the front wheel in the shot to try and indicate motion as the white lettering is blurred.
Thanks for your comments and suggestions!

I agree with you it would have been much better if it had been in the other lane.

Nice action shot Luis!
I really like the slow shutter speed to give the blur and sense of speed. Nicely done!

Photo was taken during practice. I was unable to go to the race but to me practice and qualifying was just as good!

Thanks Ivica,
Try to shoot with the aperature as wide open a possible. This will help to make the wire less visible.

Thanks Ivica,
Photo was taken from behind a fence. If you look around the front tire area and the area extending up in front of the helmet there is a very light black line which is the wire. I wish I did have a press pass so I could get to all those great shooting spots.

Marty, Thanks goes out to you for the tips you have given to me. Most of all shooting at a lower shutter speed to give the sense of speed. I am grateful for all of your comments and suggestions!

I don't know if Michael can beat Alanso or not. Alonso is really hot right now. Michael has won this race 4 times so It should be interesting.

Thanks Timothy for your comments. I agree that I should have cropped and straightened. I think I got in too big of a hurry. I am not sure what you mean by duo or trio tone. I am using just a basic Nikon Picture software.

Jonathan,
Thanks for your comment. You are correct this is the G series nikkor lens. I am pleased with the performance so far. I am not sure of the mm conversion of the lens.
This photo was taken at a focal length of 170mm in manual mode. I also cropped the picture as well. I have found that for me the best images I have captured have been using focal lengths from 70-190 mm.
