Beautiful design. You captured it very nicely...lovely light, very sharp and symmetrical. Were you on your back? Are you new to UF? Welcome! Thank you for your comment on mine. Antonia

What a nice image. Great choice of sepia. I love things like this that just sort of "appear" out of nowhere. Great find. How did you upload the photo in that wide landscape mode? Really catches the eye.

Thanks for the kind comments Ferran. This was the first photo that i uploaded on usefilm and needless to say it is among my favorites. I did see a few alternate perspectives of the very same dome which i could email to you. It is kind of intresting to see how the same building can be captured in so many different ways.

Thanks for viewing and commenting.
Regards

Sid

Pardon my spanish but I had to add the one line that i claim to know

"Muchos muchos gracias amigos"

Thanks for your comment Marks. I need to service this camera. All the photos I take have a bluish tinge. Also I am having difficulty finding a store that is willing to develop the half film.

Regarding the sephia tone, I had to choose over a natural color, B/W and this tone.. The sephia stood out.

Thanks for viewing

This is actually a very good camera. In the heyday of half frame cameras, this one was towards the top of the list. I still shoot half frame cameras (I have seven), and they still continue to amaze me with their sharp images. Thank you so very much for sharing this little gem with me. The sepia tone sure helps set the mood.

Thanks a lot dave...I was driving from houston to dallas and saw this amazing sunset... there was this golden lining all around this cloud and no sign of the sun at all... if i weren't driving so fast on the freeway I could have stopped before a minute before and this photo would have been even more beautiful ( according to me atleast)

Sid,

Another option is to use electronic flash on the building, if you are close enough...

On July 8th, Venus and the crescent Moon will be in conjunction. An opportunity to catch more than just the Moon in your composition.

Thanks Taras. I took a peek at your portfolio and it sure has some remarkable shots of the moon and the night skies. Thnks for looking and taking the time to comment. I did notice that many had superimposed two photos (digital) or had double exposed (film) to capture the moon.

I think I shall head towards the beach on the first day of the waxing moon and try some photos then. Considering that the cresent would be as bright as the half or full moon, maybe I could get a few shots without super imposings two photos. Otherwise I shall be back in 14 days to capture it in full glory.

Sid,

Most people create these shots with double exposures. The full moon is a sunny 16 (or 11) object, while the building at night is not a "sunny" object. Or you can try to capture the image just around sunset, when the nearly full moon is rising. This takes a bit of planning, and knowing when and where the moon will be at the right lighting conditions.

That was one lesson and the other was not to forget the tripod in the trunk of the car.how much every i tried, steadying the hand on a breezy evening for 2 full seconds (which is why the moon is overexposed) doesnt come naturally.

Very nice shot but let me say something about,
if you look at the properties of your shot I think that ISO is at 400, these noise is because of that, if you use it at ISO 100 it will be sharper, see u thanks for your nice comment...

Shooting the moon is tricky, but you managed quite well. granted it's overexposed, but who says it cant be? Isn't photography art? And isn't art in the eye of the beholder. I like it.
