Thank you for your comments!
There's no perfect time to contemplate on what/how the world would be like if there was no "war" - in these trying times seeing the words of John Lennon just makes me Imagine and dream of a better world.
Very good homage!

there's certainly a lot of possibilities for this scene you chose - the gazebo, the boat, even the clouds. hope you don't mind a tip, try not to put the horizon right in the middle of the image. rule of thirds can help improve the impact of the image (of course, it's not always the case) but try to experiment by changing the placement of your subject as well as horizon. try shooting portrait or landscape (orientation) and change your position to see results.

Good timing mike - if i may add, one of the techniques to keep in mind is to always try to shoot with the sun behind your back - this gives you natural lighting and brightens up the subject. especially for birds since there's a lot of detail that can be lost....

Very cool capture - definitely meets the "definition" of innocence, the cage somehow adds to the concept -congratulations!

Very powerful image Kes. The shadows on the sand draws the eye from the boots to that lone figure in the distance. Well composed.

Thanks Avi - yeah, felt that way also, 2nd i think in a burst of shots (next couple of shots were better) but somehow this had the most impact for me in terms of composition.

Balanced composition Kabayan. Perfect timing on the clouds on the left and good placement of the sun. A change in your position would have lessened the impact of this photo. Reminds me of one of those pinoy thriller movies.
What's a good place to visit these days? I might have a biz trip to Manila in Dec.

Wow, you're certainly becoming a master in street photography.
I like how you captured the three subjects here. The two bored women and the guy on the right. My eye likes to move to the right to include more of the guy and less of the door to the left. I like the deep red paint.
Definitely very good timing!!!

Very good capture! Although balancing the image by not cropping off the sandal would work as well. Definitely a keeper.

The diagonal line with the men lined up along the edge + the bridge results in a very dynamic image!

Hi Larry! Kamusta?
I like this image, the composition is good. I think one thing you'll need to look at is the ISO setting on your camera. You were shooting at ISO 800 which gives you the high shutter speed and noise in the clouds.
