I can't see why you would be shy to take a close up portrait, u r quite attractive 2 say the least!
i'm just curious as to why u would only use
57 Kbytes out of the 400 Kbytes allowed by UseFilm for uploads?
in this instance it's ok, artifacts are not present in this highly compressed JPEG.
in the attachment i played with the contrast mildly in PS.
keep up the good work and keep shooting!

although quite a few of u would disagree with me, i could see a similar photo used in a magazine.
the Canon Digital Rebel is also known as the 350D right?
