Wow!
Flowers were always the silent conversation between two. Bringing their vivid colors out when keeing the baground in black & white is a wonderful idea.
Nice composition and details .. angle too.
keep it up!

I like the idea after this photo!
I find that cropping the upper part would not take anything away from this photo.

Actually, that one was your third comment, and your first upload was on May 12...
Anyway, about this picture, I thought I'd suggest to compose this a little less dead center, and maybe bring down your white point a tad to help the slightly flat feel to the light.

DOF causes focus to narrow too much. The flower and insect are very soft.

Hello Curtis,
very nice picture, i like the mood her, she looks lost in her thoughs. I like your PP also, that gives more impact of the colors of this red rose. But IMO, you would have crop this disturbing stuff on the left, but it is just a detail.
Well done.

Is this in Asakusa? It looks like that temple past the Thunder Gate and the market...

Nice capture of the chaotic scene below this majective temple. I like how you have also managed to maintain some of the color in the sky in spite of the darkness of the scene below.

Welcome to USEFILM. This a great start. Nice composition with the boat heading toward you with the centered lighted bridge from end to end works well. If you get some time come and comment on mine. Thanks,
Bob
