As Jacques alluded to, it make for a more exciting photo if you were to crop out the ground below to give the impression of being further from the ground. Although you do lose the interesting shawdow, it is one version to consider as my crude example demonstrates below.

Great DOF in this shot. That little white cloud really makes the shot in my opinion. Seeing the beautiful Rockys really makes me wish I was back there. Great shot.
