I hoped you would upload this one. My initial guess was right: i prefer this to the B&W version.

I really REALLY like this. So dramatic and its just a great sport ( my husband does it but with a kite buggy much easier!) You should try it Neil, it will kill your arms though, I warn you and takes lots of practice

Smashing idea and great framing...i'm not sure if it needs a bit of more light on the bottom (perhaps that would ruine the shiluette effect...will need to see the original to be more certain about it)..nevertheless a real fresh idea...thumbs up from me..

I would like to see a color version because i think the contrast between the kite and the clouds is too low - but you solved that well by letting the kite break out of the frame.

great idea to let the kite out of the picture.
you could write the title in the black frame underneath the image

nice work, I love the clouds

Very neat capture....
I love the detail of the blue sky (not so much of the storm)
and the horizon..

I have seen many water droplet on leaves in my years and there are some very good ones but with all do respect Neil, this isn't one of them. There is one thing wrong with this image that I am sure you are aware of. The DOF.

If you cannot control the apeture, You can allways take several shots moving the focus point ahead each time and them stich them all back together. This assumes things are standing still for you.

Or, get a good macro lens... $$$

Macro converter? Hardware or software?

Good concept and lovely composition, but it needed more to be sharper in the foreground to make it justice.

Ciprian

hi
this is a very nice macro shot
did you think of making the focus in the third of the frame not at the front, at the tow small drops?

Nothing boring about this! It is gorgeous- and doesn't always happen like this! A great view- the water really adds to the beautiful colours.

Perfect silhouette matey. For me, the Sun would normally be too bright (like my bluebell shot - d'oh!) but in this image it seems rather balanced, and that sky is lovely. Nice work !!
