Cool shot. My fiance and I took a 3,000 mile road trip and didn't see a single moose. Bear, bison, deer, elk, hawks, eagles... not a single elk. Your's is awesome.

How funny - or not if you are sitting on THAT plane cause you were on water. Fun that you got a photo of the culprit.

Then I've got to go to Alaska at some stage in my life... I am impressed also that you took this with such a short telephoto!
Fantastic photo, Brian. I love the way the eagle is staring straight at the camera even as its colleagues fly overhead, making a nice semi-circular shape.
The scan is not the best in the world, but a great photo none-the-less.
I am surprised you shoot in colour film, as most nature photographers seem to use transparency or digital these days.

I like the composition, and the bird's expression, but not necessarily the bright light. It seems a little soft for the areas that are 'hot'.

Homer Alaska, If you go during the winter months there is an area of the beach on the "spit" where a 80 Year old lady has been feeding them for years. you can't get out of you vehicle but they will land within 10 feet sometimes. it's awsome to see.

Brian, The is the best of your eagle collection. In my humbel opinion, I would get rid of the ISO 800 and 400 and get yourself some good (Pro) ISO 200,100 & 50 The dividends are huge.
The eagles here in South Dakota are not nearly as plentiful as in Alaska. And they are alot more fearful oh man. Never the less I have captured a few. http://www.usefilm.com/portfolio.php?portfolio_id=13479

A very lovely shot. I like those colors in the sky and the thin low clouds around the hill. It has a lot of moodiness and could probably fit in the "moody landscape" project.
Best wishes, Jimmy
