looks like monochrome film, and gives quite an erie feel to the shot (fogginess) i hope you weren't on your own when you took this shot,

if you use a sparkler you will get the small sparks flying off aswell, it would look quite good i think

using a lasor maybe more tricky, the brighter spots you see on my shot are when the torch is pointing direct/nearly direct into the lens, a lasor is a lot stronger and maybe flood the lens with too much light, maybe use a filter or something.

nice b.w annie, this looks like a winter scene by the colours, but the plants look as though they are in the spring part of their cycle?

there is an autumnal feel to this photograph, almost monochrome, nice rustic colours though.

very nice annie, where abouts was this shot taken, it is a good macro, nice detail. you could play with the focus a little more, see if you can define the buds even better.

There have been no adjustments made to this shot, the sun was behind/to the right on a bright day and the colour of the flowers was brought out by this fact, i like the colour of the sky against the colour of the flowers.
