It seems you crop the picture to 6x6 format. The man behind is rather distracting. What if you use a lens with big appeture, say F1.8 to make the background blur and the lady would be outstanding? Or you just use wide angle to take the whole scene of burning candle and people around to recorde the atmosphere as documenatory.

Thanks Andy for your suggetions. I looked at your pictures. It's nice and clean in composition. The most scenes are in China, even in shanghai. It is my hometown.

Thanks James for good suggestion. Yes, you are right. It would be better with dark frame around it.

I am so touched by this photo. I can see how you look at ordinary people with respect and most of all love even in a foreign country unkown to you. The picture its self is carefully composed, natural expression of two sisters, so peaceful feeling. Though poor but they are content about what Bhuda arranged and planned. They are living with dignity in countryside with more pure mind than people in metropolitan like me. I also noticed you low down your body when taking this photo so that you eye contacting throught your lens with two girls are almost in paralle. Thank you so much for sharing this wondeful portrait of my countrywomen!

It is very informative photo with your remarks below photo. I heard different story about these long neck women. It goes like this: if she has some afairs with other man and if her husband got to know, he will then remove the rings. Result is just what you mentioned...

I like this scene though I get used to. For I am living in this area. You have eyes which refect the real daily life of ordinary people in certain area. A little town with peaceful atmosphere. This is what you documentary photo created. Thanks for sharing.

Hi James,I feel so sorry for myself that I didn't realize that you had three comments already. You are right that if I had managed to include girl's right hand it would be better composition frame. Thanks for your suggestion. Besides, these days I also realize beside subject you also should take care of background which sometimes plays significant effect. Thank you very very much. Hope you enjoy phtography as ever.

thanks for your comments on my pictures. Each portrait you took is very carefully controlled - exposure, composition and model posing... what if trying different lighting angles and trying to have more communication with model. It is only my personal opinion. Just suggestion. thanks for sharing yuor photos.

Fantastic shot of children in their natural posing. I could feel the interaction betweein you and them in this picture. which is so delicate toughing moment you seized. I like B & W tone which is ofter superior as well serious than color one. Looks classic and historic. Thanks for your comments to my picture and significant suggestions. I will try. Thank you, James.

Beautiful shot, Darja. Love the natual colour and clouds. 3 layers are great in its perspective: far away sky, the sea in the middle with man and sands as foreground.

good taste of B&W with common DC. More important is the head behind the lens as the saying goes.
