Beautiful shot. The composition is wonderful with that powerful diagonal capturing the performer's great power. Unfortunate, the position of the right hand is very distracting--in the photo, not the dance. Would you consider cropping in the left side so that the arm seems to leave the frame? I think it might result in an even stronger shot.

Hi Edward,
There are not many good digital concert shots out there, but this one is definitely one of the best I've seen so far. It's kind of sad that you're not getting the appropriate feedback to your great shots. the burning light, the hint of outlines of the singer plus the finger make this image so special. bravo!

whew, what a perfect concert shot! I knew that my brother Carlheinz will post here - and he did. He said everything I wanted to say: this is an awesome example of stage photography. You managed to capture the passion and the skill of the man here very well. great detail, lighting and format.

P.S. With regard to the colours in my shots, I have set my D70 to 'vivid' and also tend to add a little saturation and contrast in Photoshop CS.

Thanks for your comment! There are no hard feelings. But while shooting this picture my aim was to have a contour of the dancer! I did this on a BW negative. I just scanned it and uploaded it. I'm not sure that the light on the arms can be reduced and to be honest I don't think there is a need for it at all. For me in this case only the form of the model is important.

Nice idea Edward as u upload this image just for critque then i think i should give u my true evaluation if i upload same shot i definitly reduce the light on arms n hands.
Upper arm looks like u have contour. plz no hards feelings.
