david,thk u for the indepth critique.just to clarify(and not defend myself),i did not intend this to be the usual vibrant underwater clownfish shot which included the anemone.i do have pictures like that but didn't upload it because people have seen many like them before.i wanted this to be a little edgier,more portrait like,hence the natural colours and tight shot,which is as taken,i haven't cropped it.that said i do realise it might not be what everyone expects,hope to see u soon on my page again.

Its hard to critique underwater photography since the equipment required is very specialized, and I have absolutley no experience with it... that said, I feel that the picture lacks the clean vibrant colors I expect. I also feel it is cropped a little too tight. Also, the photo does not clearly illustrate the relationship between the fish and whatever it is next to (an anemone I would guess...)
Still, its a great shot, all the best too you!

thx for ur comment maddi but i wud disagree about the out of focus bit.macro lenses have a very small depth of field so some parts will be out of focus but a majority of this pic is in sharp focus.cheers and hope to keep seeing your comments.

Hello Parvin. I like your DOF. The eyes of the bee are the darkest part of your picture and having the focus on them really draws you into the picture. The warm colours and lighting really give you the sense of the sunny day you took this in. Great picture and moment captured.
