Interesting Photograph, Nice colors and clarity and Composition.
Thanks for sharing? Thanks for the honest comment on my Photograph. I agree natural focus is better than using software to correct this. At 60 years old my eyesight is not so good anymore. I cannot use the view finder and have to rely on the 1.5" screen. I have to rely on the camera's focusing and I can not afford a $1000 camera like the Nikon D100. Most of my flower shots are from my Wife's gargen and many are planted in pots. I forget sometimes about the background and just look at the flower. Your comment reminded me I need to take more time with my shots. Thanks again... GOD Bless? Peter Daniel

I'm going to disagree with the people that said the cropping was good. The eye line is way too high for me. There needs to be some space between the top of the frame and her left eye. Aside from that, the exposure and DOF are spot on. Great capture.

Thank you Brad for your comment.
I receive so few I hardly feel like a member of this site.
I often think this site name should be changed to UsePhotoshop.com - anyway, you are right that I should play with this image some more. I have the negatives around here somewhere, a decent negative scan instead of this flatbed scan of a print would probably be the thing to do.
Aloha to you Brad!

Like the pose and expression in this shot. The Scanning process has softened the image though, I would suggest that you increase the contrast using curves to get some more depth in the shadows and add some USM to sharpen the image a bit more, you should be able to det some pop with sharped eyelashes
