It had just emerged from that nymph skin to a fully formed dragonfly with those huge wings -- I find it an amazing process and I was lucky to see it as it rested. It flew off after awhile when I wanted to try another picture. Thankd for your comment and interest!

Intersting and unusual shot Evelyn... and I like it a lot! The white part of the flower looks alomost like a pearl nestling on the plant's tongue! Well exposed, composed, 'painted'...

This is a superb piece of work Evelyn... and there is definitely no limit to how images can be used! I love your use of the sky to contrast the yellow (blue and yellow always work so well together). I also am impressed with the lighting on the flower - bright but not overblown and showing all the variations of yellow off to their full effect. Wonderful....

I'll not say Aaaahh... I'll say Hhaaaa hhaaaa... sooo wonderful image of this uncommomly seen flower .. I like the angle, like you said, as if the flower is opening her mouth to a dentist :0) ... bravo Evelyn, well seen and presented floral shot, regards,
Khaled.

I think someone else made that comment too, about the cropping -- which I also did intentionally -- but it is not easy to backtrack at this stage and add it back in with all the transformation since the crop. Thanks much for the comment and suggestion. I do appreciate observations and suggestions!

Thank you, Bjorn -- I am honored to be added to your friends list. It will be fun to watch what you post as well -- you have a varied and skillful set of images already.
You are correct; this pic was blurred on purpose to create more of a soft airbrushed feel to the shapes and then I noticed the shape of the ice cream cone in the very center and thought it was fun. Is that what a bee sees? Dessert in the center of the flower? Thanks much for commenting!

I love the detail and the colors in this picture, one little thing, I would've tried to include the full second flower (the one in the bottom).

I love flower images, and you seem to have a very lot of them, so I hope you don't mind that I added you to my friends list.
I love this picture, very nice macro, with a gerat color. However, it lacks a bit of sharpness, was that intended? It turns out all right though.

Evelyn such lovely texture and soft tones. Again I love the use of the frame with part of the image out of it. Great shadow too.
Glad my flamingo shot and the comments made you laugh - thanks for the comment

I am glad you included the original or I would still be wondering just how you got such an interesting capture. Your PS skills are excellent. Del.
