This woman has a beautiful expression, you framed very well, of course good to know and admit what it when wrong :)

Excellent tonal range and detail! Don't change a thing. You could add a gradient to the upper left for a more dramatic look, but only slightly.

Gary, thank you so much for your comments. Im still learning so much that I really need someone to give it to me plainly. No sugar-coating. I agree with your suggestions and appreciate your honesty. With my little point and shoot type camera, the manual options only give me an F2.8 or an F5.6 to choose from. Thanks again for taking the time to make a comment!

Many people, including myself, actually like a grainy effect and often try for it, it's a subjective thing. So personally I don't think grain is really an issue with this image, though it could be a little sharper. The concept and your composition are both really good but the background lets the shot down, IMO. Firstly, the house takes attention away from the boy and I'm surprised it's still in focus at f2.8. This would be better located in a park, or in front of a flat surface where the background might not impinge so much, or the bokeh might be plainer. I'm sure this little guy would oblige. Alternatively, crop just above the lower bubbles for a cleaner image and sharpen a tad as I've done. Hope you don't mind.
Regards, Gary

I like the moment here and the expresion of the young man for what he have done up there, the composition is also very well arranged, the only thing I would Suggest is improving the over all sharpness of the image, other wise a perfec timing been acheived.

Nicely presented. The lighting is very good. My only suggestion would be to have the one finger uncurled; it looks as though she's missing the fingertip (if she is, I'm REALLY sorry!).

Rae,

Your children may be moving too fast to keep them all in the frame at once! In any case, this is a charming shot and you are fotunate to have such lovely children!

Laura

It was a lucky shot! I took about 20 pics in this series and only 2 came out like this. All the other shots, the water drop had already disappeared. Thanks for your comments Walter!

Love this Rae...the softness and natural light (which I prefer!) work well together. Bit of a bright spot on top of his head but it's still a wonderful portrait of an adorable little boy!

Take care...Robin
