I agree this would make a great silhouette. You've certainly captured him with the right pose. Unfortunately it's not a full silhouette because there's too much detail in the face and shirt. The best part of the image is the cowpat itself with the crumbs falling away. You don't have much control over the lighting but a faster shutter speed might have made a bolder silhouette.

Very cute, Rach.

My only suggestion is trying your unsharp mask to sharpen it up a little and it will also add a touch of contrast.

I have a soft spot for images of old tractors and have a couple in my portfolio. I like the angle of view you've chosen here very much. Composition is good with the axle sticking out of the wheel being centred.

I usually place subjects either to right or left of exact center, to increase visual interest. Perfectly centered people tend to inply static, non-moving and not as dynamic.

I still like this shot, though. Good job, Rae.

Wow Rae . . . VERY nice composition. IF I might be so bold, I'd suggest you keep that horizon line in mind. This image, although VERY nice . . . In my opinion, would have more impact if it was straightened. Without the traditional horizonatal line . . . consider the verticals!! I have attached an example for your consideration. Love the calssic Americana -Dennis the Mennis- Feel to this one. I've glanced through a few of your images and I think you have some wonderful potential. I VERY much prefer this to the selective coloration shot. VERY well done!

I agree with Gary. His crop works much better for this shot. And I don't really find the photo to be that grainy either. Well done.
