Quite simply fantastic! Have you done anything in photoshop to this? Removed your reflection or was it a case of clever positioning?!

Your 3rd image is, to me, by far the best. Nice idea and execution on all three.

I have seen so many pictures of the Silver Bean but NONE like this! Extra points for creativity! This looks like it has a WB set for daylight, I would have liked to have seen it set to Tungsten. The sky would have been such a wonderful blue and the light closer to white.

I like the detail of the condensation on the sculpture. The highlight from the moon is a bit of a distraction. I would remove that in photoshop. This sculpture is an interesteing subject to shoot. I have a few shots of tourists interacting and taking photos in front of the piece.

Edith, it's a mirror polished stainless steel sculpture here in Chicago called "Cloud Gate". It's located in downtown Chicago in Millenium Park. You can see more images here in my portfolio but here's a full size version. Thanks, -mm

It's amazing but exactly as you see it. I plan some more extensive shots in a month when it's finished as it's still being polished. Thanks Hugo. -mm

Hi Mark,
Very cool shot; the reflection is almost too clear to be true, and it adds a great feel to this image as well as a pretty surprising element. Very well captured.
Cheers,

WOW a stunning razor sharp image Mark. great detail right down to the fine hair like fuzz on the plant stem and leaves. Superb macro work. Gorgeous colours and wonderful play on light. I see patterns all over this. Great shot.
Thanks also for your comment on my Frozen Falls image.

Hey Mark well seen and shot. Nice and clear too considering it was shot through the plane window. You obviously found the "sweet" spot in the window to shoot this....unless of course you were wing walking at the time.
I enjoy all types of aerial shots and this one is quite clever and unique. Most enjoyable.
Thank you also for your kind words on my images.
Cheers - Ann

Moody composition. The structure has a foreboding look. Good choice of black and white. A blue sky would not work as well.
Good industrial shot. Andree
