Have you ever seen 'The Fighting Temeraire' by Turner? this is very similar. Very nice photo.

ooo... wow! Those clouds look so majestic and terribly powerful. Great work. Like the colours too.

Great shot with nice use of foreground, but i find the frame a little distracting. Maybe darkening the outside of the frame would help?

Ah, you're outphotographying me again. This image is by far superior to the one I managed then. You've captured lovely colours in the photo. I'm looking forward(ish) to see what you've got from the ball.

Certainly great colours, i might have grabbed a bit more foreground. Apart from that your composition is very nice.

Far better composition than my attempt, the lighing you caught is better too. The best of this view I've seen is by my friend Ian, I suggest you take a look, it's rather good: http://www.usefilm.com/image/595931.html

I can't tell, is this a shallow depth of field, or a heat-haze? Either way the effect is great. The colours are also great, especially in the background.

As it happens I've tried getting a little blur with unpredictable results... Using a slow shutter means the camera has to be held very still, and my camera has no remote operation except a timer which doesn't allow me to get the pendulum in a compositionally good position when shooting. What I've done here is to lodge it in position, but I'll review the other photos to see what the composition is like. Thanks for your comment.

Amazing shades of orange, and great composition. How mush, if any, editing have you done?

I'm glad you posted this view, it has always been too hazy for me. The colours in the valley are really great. Thanks for all your positive comments.

... and haystacks is peeping over fleetwith pike. Lovely composition and great clarity, I have always found far more haze than this in the lake district. You've also found a nice foreground to the shot. I'll keep an eye out for the 'more to follow'.

Amazing texture and the colouration is nice, is it a close-up of a flower of some sort?

Wow, that's the first time i've seen a photo of a sun pillar, and lovely colours too. My camera wasn't working properly when I saw one so i missed the chance. (I had a massive mound to use as a silhouette to make it look like a volcano too, dammit) Thanks for your comment and also the explaination of the pillar, I had been wondering how they worked.

I don't know if you meant it but it has a feel of a b&w photo which has been tinted with colour, the old fasioned look. The players certainly do stand out though, and definitely a good action shot.

Nice unusual perspective on the castle, very interesting. If you're flying in the area of salisbury any time the ruins of a castle called 'old sarum' (meaning old salisbury) are around there, conveniently near an airfield too... I don't know if it'll look this dramatic from the air though.

Stunning texture in the clouds, very well captured too. Did you use separate exposures for the sky and the ground or are is it just one? Very nice work anyway.

Great composition and colours, maybe slight oversaturation, but otherwise an excellent image.
Thanks for your comment.

Well caught through all those branches, they've actually added nicely to the composition. The detail in the feathers is exquisite!

The rain streaks make this a very interesting image, transforming a simple scene. Are they on a window or the lens of your camera?

Excellent depth of field, the composition is also really nice - well done for catching it when it was in such a good position compositionally. Lovely lighting too.

Great lines leading to the sun, I think your distortion emphasises them well. Also whatever tricks you've done with PS they've worked well, though I don't understand them.

Beautiful detail you've captured in the macro. Good work getting it that sharp if they were being blown around in the wind.
