Shawn, Very cool graphics work. I really like it. If You hadn't told already I would have had to have asked how You did it. Was this an exercise from the book that you were telling me about? Cool. Robin

Great shot. I would have cloned (or cropped) out the leaf at the bottom right (a bit distracting).

Thanks for your many kind comments Laura. This image was the best of about 20. The lighting is soft flourescent overhead from many different angles. It gave a yellow cast in the originals. I tried flash on some but got pretty big white spots. I was at a slight angle in this one to reduce direct glare.

Good art work! You did a good job on this image, there is usually light reflected off painted surfaces, but not in this image.

You know what they say, "Curiosity killed the cat!" This is a good candid of the curious cat in action. DOF is very short, only his eye is sharp. Thanks for a chuckle!

Judging by your title, it looks like you're trying to get an image of the mushrooms. It was a good idea of yours to not put them in the center, because that's often boring. But maybe they need to be a little bigger.
Try lowering the camera (even to the point of laying down on the ground) to try to get the mushrooms to be a more prominent part of the composition. Often the most interesting pictures are those from unexpected angles.

I think that hadn't been for the TV set , this image would be one common photograph.I think the TV is the one that gives this image character, because the cat must have been watching TV before this great look it gave you here!So cute!

Greetings Shawn, Photo is cropped a bit tight, The tv in the background tends to distract. The cat has a beautiful face with good detail, just a bit of flash eye showing. Best regards, Sandra

see this is the problem with digital. there is nothing really in clear focus, except maybe a leaf or two on the left side, but i imagine what you are going for was the log with the mushrooms. since it is not in focus, i cant really help but say i dont like this shot. if you really feel strongly about this shot then go and reshoot, with either a digital or an slr camera.
