GORGEOUS!! I love the golden tones and the silhouette of the tree framing the shot! Nice!

Yes, I noticed the slight bluriness as well, but the overall beauty of the shot more than makes up for the slight blur! Nice work!

Cheers Sam, love the comments. I'm scanning prints on an old scanner no computer changes at all, just cropped and uploaded. I patiently await the day I can afford better though

Thanks again Sam! you are so right about the scanner, very low quality, just the old one they've got here in the office.

Thanks for the comments Sam. Unfortunatly I have no PS, everyting I do is film and staight in camera work. What I see is what you get

The Abel Tasman is a hike on the South Island of NZ, one of "the Great Walks'

welcome to UseFilm, its another elegant capture! I really like the simplicity, a stratified background with so much white light at top and an oddly imbalanced 'ghost tree', who cut off all the branches on the other side? maybe its very windy there and it only grew branches downwind? awesome!

See previous comments regarding your digital images, this one again lacks something in the darker areas, some noise is present, are you scanning prints low-res? or scanning negatives? the image is EXCELLENT but the jpg seems low quality in some areas.

I love the framing and composition in this photo. very elegant and balanced. the island and rocks to the right and left are wonderfully placed to balance and intrigue our eyes.

again, my same comment about black levels, though. the trees are very maroon in the silhouette, maybe you scanner or some software is not converting enough of the image to a true black base?

Nice shot. I love the bird silhouette and the craggy line of the rock across the frame. Is it sunrise as the title implies? I wonder about the color tone, though. did you consider changing the levels in PS to make the silhouette more true-black? (it is very maroon now)

great shot! very pleasant! what is the Abel Tasman Track? a running track? a name of geographic region? a train track?
