I appreciate your capturing great texture and contrast. The dominance of the oak tree is countered by your composition by placing it off center. Nice work, and thank God there are still film photographers out there.

I appreciate the amount of detail as well as variation of tone and light that this photo achieves. This is a beautiful capture of texture and shadows. Excellent work.

There is a soft spot in my heart for photographs taken with candlelight, but not all candlelight photos are the same. Case in point, your photo. I appreciate the composition, the balance of the candlelight in contrast to the bluish background, and the rich skin tones that you achieved. The connection of your subject to the viewer is innocent at first glance, but exudes a sense of mystery as well. Nice work.

Thank you for your kind comments. It's especially nice coming from such a talented photographer. Needless to say, this shot leaves me speechless. Honestly, your entire portfolio is majestic. You definitely have "The Eye".

Spectacular shot! Being able to see a great shot in everyday life, or in the usual is a special and creative trait. Honestly, I appreciate your entire portfolio. You have "The Eye" I feel that is the best compliment that you can give a photographer.

Roberto,

There is SO much beauty, movement, simplicity, and emotion that I am speechless. Superb photography. You inspire me.

Superb composition and use of light to create a shot that is abstract and emotive at the same time. The first thing that came to my mind when I viewed this shot was, caged emotion. Very nice work, Andy.

Great shot/capture of a beautiful subject. I appreciate your composition especially your use of the building's lines, and depth of field to create somewhat of an abstraction. I also like the dark shadows that offset the grey tones. Very nice work.

A creative and somewhat abstract capture of political/social commentary played out with common street markings. It is obvious that Mr. Caldwell clearly has the "third eye" that most creative people hope to have. Nice work.

It's amazing the amount of warmth and emotion that film brings to a shot. I appreciate your composition and superb use of a Holga camera(Photography at its artistic basic). Nice work.

Excellent observation, James. I looked though the viewfinder and adjusted for the seam in the wall to be straight, but everything else looked bad. The same was true for the horizon. I decided that the lesser of the three evils was to use the sidewalk as the level. I still have moments where it really bothers me. I figured I'd let you all (I really respect the level of work on this site) critique my final decision. Thank you.

Simple and yet complex. I appreciate the rich color, fresh perspective, and composition that you have achieved in this unique still life. This shot reaches out and grabs you. Nice work.

WOW! I appreciate your whimsical and yet profoundly intense tribute to tribal man. Your shot begs a philosphical question. Are we all one tribe? Superb work.

I appreciate your composition (extreme close up) and your use of lighting to create a profound and intimate portait. The texture created by your subject's beard provides a nice contrast to his revealing eyes. Very nice work.

I appreciate that you have expressed a duality of sorts with this shot. There is a serene feeling of a moonscape in contrast with primal eroticism. Nice work.

I admire when a photographer has the talent to capture "truth" in his subjects. It is even more profound when a photographer turns the camera around and allows a part of his/her self to be captured, and to reveal his/her own "truth". Superb work, Andrew.

Early painters felt that photography was mearly to be used to inspire great paintings. Looking at this shot I feel that the old painters would be in awe and humbled. Superb capture of color composition. and nature. Complete order and yet abstract as nature often is. Very nice

You have succesfully challenged aviation photography status quo. I appreciate your composition, sharp focus, and color against the back drop of the sky. Your placement of the airplane accentuates the movement in your shot. Very nice work.
