Hi Matt, I like the silhouette and agree with Vanessa about being mysterious. When I look at this picture and compare it to your first one I had a hard time decided which one I like better. They are different pictures with different feelings and I like them both. The green colour in the first one is a nice effect. Thanks for you visit as well. Cheers.

Great shot! Good colours, composition and atmosphere.

To answer your question you asked me about the silver foil; I used it to cast light under the mushroom (otherwise it would be darker there). Foil was the most reflective thing I found here at home. When shooting macros in the forest you really are close to earth so to speak, thus you need light to achieve equal lightning all around the photo. Reflective things like foil can be used to reflect the sun's light, from the wanted direction, to the wanted subject. =) Hope that answers your question.

Love the warm colours and the hint of cool autumn air... I find the top of this image just a little too busy... perhaps a crop of the very top horizon? This would put a ton of emphasis on the refeclection and those wonderful golden hues at the bottom.

Beautiful - make me remember a photo winner some years ago with a squirell or something in the foreground. Lovely colours and amazing view.
