I like you for being honest: a Canon G2 really is a toy camera.

Serious: nice and warm colors. Good composition.

Kurt,

I would not call it a macro, but a close-up.
If you can go back to the place, try going with dimmer light or carry a semi-transparant cloth to partially shield the strong light.
The bottom-left has got a bit too much exposure.

Another thing you could try, is carrying a flashlight so you can control the lighting yourself (a least, for a bit)

Hi Lorraine,

La Lorraine is the brand of machines but also a region in France.
It is associated with the farmers' profession.

Très beau, Jean-Philippe!
Avant d'avoir lu les détails, la classe de l'image met donnait l'impression qu'il devrait être fait avec un GF!

Nice portrait. Is there any relationship between the two men? father/son?

Greetings,

The reflection does not work very well since there is no reference point.

It's very grainy as you would expect from Rodinal 1+25 on HP5+.
I do like the composition.

Hi Marco,
the film was developed in Rodinal 1+50 for 11 minutes. Agitation ( *gently* no samba dancing): 30 seconds from start, then 10 seconds every minute untill 5 minutes and then 10 seconds every 2 minutes to the end.
Should I say that Rodinal is my favourite developer?

Greetings,
Geert

Unless you like the grain produced by 1+25 Rodinal on Tmax, I'd advice you to dillute 1+50 or even higher.
Expose on 100ASA, 1+50 for 12 minutes, agitate *gently* following your scheme.

Greetings,
G

Nice composition but I miss a bit of maximal black. It would spice up the picture.

That's a nice family portrait. It's a pity the lighting is not evenly spread over the persons.

Very nice. It first didn't come to my mind that there was a rope, it looked more like a natural feature.

Very nice. Some extra side lighting with a small flashlight would have added a bit of extra texture in the shadow part.

If I hadn't been there when you took this picture, I'd say it was photoshopped :-)
Classic.
