Great photograph despite the intruding arm. The expressions and the poses of the two/three figures are excellent. Great capture!

Great shot, I've recently had the chance to find out how tough it is to get good sports shots and I reckon you're doing pretty well!!

Great action shot - a sport that really should be on here more often. So many wierd shapews and faces from both batsmen and bowlers.

this its a double whammey having the ball and dust from the bowlers landing foot.

Definitely worth the effort for our UF meets, though newcastle is a LONG trip for you guys. You rarely get your best ever shot on these things as you're usually in the pub at sunset - or eating curry :-) - but you do pick up a lot of info and tips, meet some characters and just enjoy talking to like minded people of all levels of knowledge.

Hey when people are being this nice they don't have to leave me alone.

Sports photography is where I'm happiest and when it's appreciated it puts a smile on my face.

Cricket season finishes 3rd September for me..... but hey.... Rugby starts on the 10th. I only really got going with my local Cricket Club about a month ago. It should be much better organised next season and hopefully plenty of shots to match this one.

Looking forward to Rugby. I've got a new lens since last season finished so I'm hoping for good things from that this Winter.

Take care Rina, and thanks.

I think this is probably the ideal cropping for cricket shots. I like it. Tells the story of the entire play.

Cheers

You like this one? Check out 'out!'. posted the same time. Thanks for your kind comment Rina.

Your shots prompted me to go looking for different angles this weekend. I love this head on stuff but going round the side gave me some good shots as well. Cheers.

You nailed the composition of the formation, but colors seem a little flat...or green. I'm not able to describe it. Also, the white levels could come up a little....like so:

Something along the lines of.......

I bought a laptop recently and I'm finding everything is looking good on the screen and coming out much darker than I'm used to. I need to calibrate or make a change of some sort. Swapped back onto my old PC to change this. Thanks for your comment.
