I really, really like it! The frame adds a nice contrast. The text is a bit large, but this is still a striking image!

Wow! Stunning and dramatic piece. I agree with the other two comments about lighting, but that's not something that struck me until after I read them...

This baby is adorable!! His expression really caught my eye.

I have a few simple suggestions for a more "studio look" that you were going for...

Next time, try turning his body so it is more at a 45 degree angle to the camera. Take off his shoes (baby's toes are adorable! plus the soles of shoes tend to be a little distracting) and tuck in the foot that is closest to the camera so that it is touching the other leg. You can also get more of a "backdrop" look by changing the depth of field - I think increasing the distance between the baby and the sheet would help.

Anyway, try those suggestions - hopefully they will work. And with such a cute kid, how can you ever stop taking pictures? ;-)

Oh, no! We've gotten into not only air-brushing models, but also photoshopping the imperfections out of flowers! Will the world ever be good enough for us? And more importantly, will the traditional poetic comparison of a belle to a flower lose all meaning? Ahh!

;-) Sorry, couldn't resist.

Anyway, I think the macro is terrific. I think this image would also look great in black and white - it would make the image more dramatic and diminish the effect of the freckles.

Congrats on being on the front page!

I like the symmetry, actually. It accentuates the reflection. It's a stunning sunset.

Wow! That's so cool! I like the dof, although I would have liked to see a little bit more space on top. Nonetheless, terrific shot!!

Chilling. I love everything about it! Did you edit the sky or was it really that dark/bw? Great contrast with the flowers. This goes into my favorites.
