Great photo because it goes straight to the point...SPEED. I own two sportbikes myself so I know how it feels. You really kicked some booty with that picutre, because both the Nikon D50 and the 70-300mm are toys. I know because I own both. ;)

Good use of the light and strong bold colouring with good panning technique.
Would be stronger still if the riders helmet was sharp as well.

I haven't seen many people who can pull off a pan shot this well. It's a technique I've always wanted to master, but I haven't really been in the right situations to practice. Your subject is supremely sharp and I love the blur in the wheels AS WELL as in the background.
