Another adorable shot- again, a bit underexposed. I played here too- I changed his position just a bit so it doesn't look like he is falling downhill! And I adjusted the curves to brighten it up. So cute with the little santa hat! Good work!

Adorable photo, Trace! It does have a yellow color cast to it however. I played- hope you don't mind. Ran Curves adjustment on it and got rid of the yellow cast. I think it is a bit underexposed. He sure looks tiny compared to those wings, and I know how small they are!

I agree 100% with Paul up there- this IS your best work so far!!! Love it! The only things I can see that would make it better are to keep your entire hat in the photo and to blur the wrinkles on the bg. Otherwise- PERFECT!!! Excellent lighting technique. Very well done!

Awww- me too! How could your dh EVER chop those adorable curls??? And not save them? That's a crime! Just for that you should get to photograph HIM (dh, I mean) as much as you can and make him squirm! J/K... but I do love his curls too. And the pout...and the belly button....! Cute!

Precious!! She does look like an IMP- great title too. You still have not posted my fav from the "other" sites- the one in this series where she is sitting on the stump and her toes are touching together- in full (glorious, eye-popping) color! Great series!

Hi Paul- I just have to tell you how much I love this shot!!! It is one I can stare at for hours! It reminds me of jelly fish when I scuba dive- but they are not so colorful, of course! It is just awesome and deserves these awards. Wonderful work. Love your portfolio!

Hmmm.....don't mean to rain on your parade, Joe, but the blur doesn't do it for me. It either needs to be applied EXACTLY behind him, or feathered in so it isn't so apparent where it ends. Makes it look too processed. It is a great shot- Much could be done with it. If you would just go buy an SLR and shoot in Aperture mode, you wouldn't have to blur it in ps!!

Ha - I can think of a few worries- I know it has happened more than once that mom or dad got WET for one of these shots!!! Love it anyway! Conversion seems a bit harsh- maybe it is my monitor or the sharpening UF does now.
