Hello Manuel!
Thanks for your comment.
I use a 11" SCT, Celestron NexStar 11 GPS, a 2800mm f/10 aparture (1764mm f/6.3 with a focalreducer). To photograph the moon I use a T-adapter that fits my Nikon F65. To photograph deepsky with long exposures you will need some kind of guiding equipment and a wedge so that you can polar-align the telescope.

Good luck!

Best regards

Okay, now I see what you are using. I forgot that Nextstar made an 11 inch. You captured such great detail. The central core and the shape of the galaxy show well. M32 shows nicely also. I have not tried prime focus yet. So far, I've just held my new digital (not DSLR) to the eyepiece for my Moon pictures.

Thankyou so much for your comment on my work. While I have to be content with just capturing sunsets in the sky, I am jealous of your wonderful ability to capture further beauties with your camera. Excellent work.

Hi Barry!
Thanks for your comment.
I guided manually with a off-axis guider.
I had big problems with heavy dew that night so I had to do some work in Photoshop to get this result. I hope for a better night in the future with less dew so I can get a better photo.

Regards
/P-M

I had a look at your portfolio and you have very nice photos, I?m glad to see that you have some astronomical photos too.

Nicely captured. Your tracking is very good - did you use an autoguider or is this manually guided? The colour balance is a little off - the stars have a pink tone, could you remove this in PS? I have a digital capture of this amazing area in my portfolio should you wish to take a look. The digital capture shows more noise but has perhaps better colour.

You can certainly see why the Vikings' beleived that the Aurora was the manifistation of departed souls. A unique capture, if a little disturbing, and excellent detail.
