The colored specks create the illusion of confetti! I love the perspective and how the vivid beauty consumed you-- almost feels as though the colors are going to come crashing down. I think this is one of my favorites...however, I don't have the words to describe why!

Aw, what a great comment! Thanks Rob
We drove across town, only to realize I left my memory card at home...so once we got back to my house--it was getting too dark. These flowers were on the side of the road, in front of my place...haha. She was pretty excited about them, however, I think a little annoyed at my absentmindedness! She's still one of my best friends, so I guess she forgave me!
Thanks again,
Erin

JPEG, I tried once in RAW by accident and didn't have the updated Photoshop to convert it! I'm getting the new one this week! YAY, I've heard RAW gives you much more freedom to manipulate colors and light. .. .however, that is something else I'll get to learn how to do

Thanks Robin for your suggestion, and you are both perfectly correct. The sunset was a deep red/orange...need to make that correction!
Thanks again!

Hey Rob! Thanks for helping me so much! She does look a little sun-touched. The sun was setting...I love how you took out her orange look, now you can focus on her and the grass without being so distracted by how unnatural she appeared. I'll be happy to send you the original? As for my monitor, it's just a standard Dell flat-screen...I try not to push any of the buttons in case I can't fix what I changed! And about the print, I took the shots at her wedding last night and in print this photo looks just as orange/yellow/red...so, I should fix that. Needless to say, thanks for all your help!

These are all so beautiful! I love how the light shows the spectrum of colors through the sand crystals. And thanks for your comment on my photos!

I love his entire demeanor! It's awesome how he is peaking around his crab so you can't miss it but can't get him. Great! I just saw you live or are from Cape Town, one of my best friends lives there and is home for the summer! I heard it is such a beautiful place. Much better than our winter, I'm so jealous :).
Best wishes and thanks for checking out my photos!

Yay! You totally brightened my day literally. haha...The winter really makes it difficult making the models look happy and not cold! This really helps! Can't wait to try it out. Do you use photoshop most frequently? What other programs do you use?

Such joy and happiness! Great capture; the observer can feel the children's energy feeding off of the light and exercise. Wonderful captures and overall crop.

There is so much dimension! The niche inward, the industrial doors, the texture the paint and brick provide all add so much interest for the viewer. I didn't even realize that was the paint on the sidewalk! What an awesome find for a photographer's interest. Great job Did you manipulate the photo?

Beautiful use of shadows and light! Did you manipulate this photo? If so, what did you exactly do? The only reason for such invasive questions is I would LOVE to recreate this look! It almost looks like a photo taken at night time.
Wonderful!

Thanks Rob! I like both renditions and I agree the photos is more complete with the black bottom bar eliminated. It allows the composition to focuses more on her and less on the bottom of the photo. I really appreciate that!
And for the black and white, I'm so indecisive. I'm not crazy about the lighting on her, I wish her skin displayed more warm tones like the yellows at the end of the building/walkway. So, maybe the black and white was the answer!
Again, great solutions

Are you taking these photos early in the morning and the fog is creating this soft feel, or is this a setting on your camera? Certain exposure? Those might seem like silly questions; however, I'm new to this photo thing. I really want to re-create this soft fuzzy feel! Amazing, and thanks for taking the time to tell me all those encouraging comments on my photos! Greatly appreciated :)

You're right, at first I thought it added interest; but on second opinion, it takes away from her and the perspective! Thanks

YAY! A real critique :). I couldn't decide if I should crop it or not, I somewhat liked how the scarf was hanging; however, you are right. It is distracting and it takes away from the light and perspective. The square crop is a good idea! Thanks for your time,
