i think you have the right idea, which is most important. use a tripod to prevent the bluriness and maybe try a vertical view to see more water and less ground.

the contrast, framing and subject matter are amazing. you have a great eye. i especially like the picture because everything seems different from what i know (living in the u.s.). a sharper focus would help the picture.
