At last! Someone else who likes taking photographs of pavements! I thought I was alone... I think I'm going to cry with joy! This is a great composition with superb detail and colour.

Beautiful colour and texture Fern. I really like the diagonal bands of contrasting texture and colour. Also more subtle is the contrasting direction of the sand patterns and the leave shadows. Great stuff! Regards. Joggie

The shadow (like?) a finger points to the drops, the reference point of the photography. But the real subject for me is the sand: soft, delicate, elegant wrinkled surface. I like it, Fern. Cheers.

I like the detail in this shot. The darkness in the upper corner leads you into the picture nicely. The sand color in that location is delightlful. Just one more lovely spot in the southwest!

yes, I know the contrast isn't much, was more captivated with the shapes.............would having the surface of these rocks detract from the curves? I wonder............. fern

the original shows off the coral color of the sand, but I felt the horizontal lines were lost..........I tried de-saturating the color, but I don't know, B&W seemed more dramatic. subdued colors might just work.......would be fun to play with fern
