Cheers John. Cuba - a debutante. Very early days with my Sigma 75 - 200mm lense. Fiddled around (unsucesssfully) with the contrast, brightness and colour saturation. Pretty model saves the day!

Thanks John. Very basic set up. Sitting on our loo in the bathroom. Warm evening light difused by frosted glass window, falls across Anna's face. Blue walls provide strong backdrop and brightens her eyes....

Really lovely moment. Aspects which are distracting (wings out of your elbow) and the composition could be better but brought a smile to my face.

Did you try my suggestions Jose. There is lots of interesting stuff in this image but because you are trying to fit it all in somehow it looses it's impact. I often get this - how can I capture this fantastic atmosphere? I look for a single subject or element which encapsulates the feeling of the place. Often 2 or 3 subjects represent a large crowd better than trying to fit in 400... exceptions always apply! Take care.

Thanks Hassam. Do you have a macro lens? They're great fun and don't rely so much on finding the perfect subject matter. You can usually find something interesting to shoot just about anywhere.

Fantastic - really like the tight composition and way the light drops off across her face and sholder. Brilliant.

Macro lens is lots of fun if you can get one. Very easy to get interesting effects - especially if you like to play with depth of field.

You know you can pick them up second hand - something like mind - a Canon 300D you could probably get for £300 with a 17-55mm lense. Would open up a whole new world for you - lots of lense options - proper macro, telephoto, wide angle etc. Also much more control over Av, Tv, ISO values... Cool that you are still experimenting. I have put the camera down for a little while. Need to get inspired! Take care. J

Nice balanced landscape - like the use of portrait format and short lens having a fish eye effect on the foreground. Can almost feel the curviture of the earth!

Really like this one. Captured the delicasy and translucency of this flower. Beautiful textures and tones too.
