hello there, nice backlighting.
a slow shutter speed shows that the woman is working.
a few comments, next time could you try lying on the ground to lower the view point and get a little closer.
this will make the woman look taller and bigger in the photo as she is the center of interest.
it will also crop out the backround and a piece of the upright carpet adding more power to the photo.
also you didn't use a flash to lighten her face. why not try a large piece of white card to bound the backlight in to her face.
you can rest it on your knee or do what do tape it to my body. any thing to help that lovely light.

Nice subject. I like that you did a B&W view of it, it makes the subject seem more stark and 'a lone'.
You might have been able to communicate the palm's solitary (lonely?) circumstance even more by showing more background, especially if the background were vacant and not too interesting by itself. From a compositional perspective, a suggestion would be to use a horizontal cropping of the shot showing a long horizon line with the palm placed to one side. That would nicely counterbalance the vertical lines of the palm and draw the eye along the horizon line to the tree, which would remain the focus of the image. I like that you have the horizon placed low in the view.
